PEMANFAATAN MEDIA VIDEO MENGGUNAKAN METODE TALKING STICK DALAM MENUMBUHKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SMP IT HIDAYATULLAH IPUH

Abstract

Video media and the talk stick method  in Pendidikan Agama Islam learning are the teacher's means of delivering material to students. This type of media and learning method can better increase student learning motivation. Therefore, the aim of this research is  to determine the use of video media using the talk stick method to foster student learning motivation in Pendidikan Agama Islam learning at SMP IT Hidayatullah Ipuh. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were the school principal, PAI teachers, and Hidayatullah Ipuh IT Middle School students. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity technique uses triangulation. Data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are as follows: (1) the process of using video media using the talk stick method in Pendidikan Agama Islam learning has several stages which include preparation, implementation, and results/improvements. Then, in the learning process the teacher uses appropriate learning strategies. (2) Furthermore, supporting factors can be seen from adequate facilities and infrastructure, support from schools and Islamic boarding schools (caregivers), Pendidikan Agama Islam teachers' enthusiasm for teaching, and students' enthusiasm for learning. Meanwhile, if we look at the inhibiting factors, namely the room is not air-conditioned, students are less focused on studying during the last hour, limited teaching time, limited laptops, and students feel nervous if a stick falls on them.
